Hockey, Halloween & Hippos

This past weekend was a blast. Murray, Jannelle and their three boys, Peyton, Wyatt & Koy came out to spend the weekend with us. As always, we packed it full of fun... On Thursday night Nate and Murray took the three oldest boys to the Flames game. Flames beat Boston and the weekend started off on an instant high note.

On Friday we went to the park by the river and then carved pumpkins to decorate our steps for the trick-or-treaters. The owl, ghost & haunted house pumpkins turned out really well. We then dressed up the kids and they proceeded to gather bags of candy from the neighborhood. It's a wonderful neighborhood with many kids, as we had approximately 120-130 trick-or-treaters on Halloween night!

Devun started his indoor soccer season on Saturday morning. I wasn't able to go along to take any pictures this week, so I promise I'll make up for it next week!!! Devun had a great time and keeps asking to go back so he can "take the ball away from that guy and kick the ball in the net"... For a two-year-old he seems to have a really good grasp of the concept of the game. After soccer we went with the crew to the zoo for the day. It was a beautiful Fall day, and we all had a wonderful time visiting and playing with the kids.

Thanks for such a wonderful weekend M&J! We hope to do it again soon!
