Adventures in the Olfert household...

Now that Katie has been fully mobile for a while, she is becoming aware that she wants to do anything that the rest of us are doing... that includes eating whatever foods we are eating or doing any activity we are doing. She has also quickly learned that a hockey stick is a prize possession in this house and tries really hard to play with her big brother. Here are some pictures of her recent adventures...

"Helping" mommy clean the fridge...

Trying to overcome the obstacle to the stairs... :-)

And eating a cone just like big brother Devun...

Here is just a random picture of Devun at the playground:

Devun has been very excited about Halloween, not really about the holiday itself, he's just extremely excited to wear his monkey costume everyday... I can definitely say we already got our money's worth out of it! Here is a picture of me and the two kids in their costumes for Halloween. Devun of course is a monkey (a.k.a. Curious George) and Katie is "Lady" from "Lady and the Tramp". (Thanks Brandy!)

Last but not least, here is a video I caught of Katie just "practicing" hockey like her big brother Devun....

Thanksgiving 2008

This Thanksgiving Nate had a chance to head to Seattle to see the Seagulls, err.. I mean the Seahawks play the Green Bay Packers. So after I dropped him off at the airport I was off to Drumheller for the weekend with his family. Everyone had a wonderful time. Devun got to play a ton of hockey with his Grandpa and Uncle Ryan, had a couple playground visits and even got to do rounds with his Grandpa at the hospital. Katie just had a wonderful time enjoying the action around her and snuggling with her Auntie Pamela and Grandma. Here are a few pictures from Drumheller and some from Seattle:

End of the Season at Heritage Park

Since next weekend is the last weekend that Heritage Park is open this summer, Nate and I decided to go today for one last time (for this season anyway). The colors were beautiful and the day was wonderful. Here are some pictures:

Family and the Zoo

Last weekend Kendra, Janelle, Jaydin & my mom came out to visit. We had a blast! We even fit a quick trip to Red Deer to see my cousins (who came down from Westlock). After Kendra & Janelle headed home my mom stayed an extra couple of days and we did some running around Okotoks & Calgary and even managed to squeeze in a trip to the zoo. Here are some pictures:
