Jolly Jumping Katie

Today Katie tried out the Jolly Jumper for the first time. She really seemed to enjoy it. Devun was so proud of his little sister, he kept giving her kisses. Here is a little video:



After Katie was done, Devun found another way to enjoy the Jolly Jumper stand - we added a couple blankets and it makes a great tent!!!!



The static from the blankets gave Devun a new 80's inspired hairstyle...

Family Day Weekend

We had a fun family day weekend this past weekend. We were blessed with beautiful weather so Sunday we went to the zoo with our friends Joel and Carlye. There is a new stingray exhibit which will eventually allow visitors to touch the rays. Here are daddy and Devun checking it out.



Of course, what is a zoo trip without feeding ducks? The ducks were very excited about the food on Sunday as the zoo wasn't that very busy. Joel, Carlye and Nate even had the ducks eating out of their hands at one point.



On Monday we wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather again, so we drove out to Kananaskis and took Devun and Katie for a walk.

February Weekend in Kelowna

This past weekend we went to Kelowna to see the Schultz side of the family and introduce them to Katie. It was a gorgeous weekend. We all had a great time visiting and the boys and Kendra even were able to go to the Kelowna Rockets v. Chilliwack Bruins game. I was also very excited that I got a quick visit with my friend Wyona and her daughter Sadie.

Of course we were very happy we escaped the Calgary cold and were able to enjoy the beautiful Kelowna weather. Here are some pictures from some of our playground visits...

Since we were all together we took advantage of it and took some family pictures. It sure helps to have a great photographer in the family.

Crumbly Snowballs and Snow Soccer

Today was a beautiful day so Devun and I decided to go have some fun in the backyard. Devun kept trying to make snowballs but unfortunately it wasn't very good snowball snow. It just kept crumbling apart...



Katie also came outside to enjoy the weather. She spent the whole time bundled up sleeping in the stroller and breathing the fresh country air...



After our attempts at making perfect snowballs failed, we decided to play a bit of snow soccer...



Our neighborhood cat even stopped by for a while. Devun was so excited to see the cat that he took a break from his snowball making and soccer playing to chase it around for a while. The cat also seemed to love the attention...



After we came back inside I dug the Bumbo seat out of the basement for Katie. Being the good big brother he is, Devun decided to do a demonstration for Katie so she would know how it worked...



She seemed to catch on pretty quickly...

Indoor Fun...

In order to get rid of some energy, we've been playing a LOT of basketball. Just before this clip Devun must have been getting hot as he ripped of his shirt and kept playing. At this point I had to grab the camera.



Next weekend we are heading to Kelowna to have "Christmas" with the Schultz side of the family. Since we're stuck in a deep freeze here in Alberta I decided to do some test runs to get the kids ready for Auntie Janelle's camera. Here are some of the pictures...
